The main one is to turn off mobile data when connected to wifi at home or work as the iPhone reverts to mobile data when 'sleeping'.

Close down any apps that are data hungry and set to download data over wifi only where possible

iPhone 14 Pro (O2 ), S23U (EE), iPad Pro LTE (EE), .

You'll get a number of suggestions but no one has really got to the bottom if this issue fully.
if you search the forum you'll find a few threads on the subject.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Hi.

Look here to see what's using your data.

Data usage on iPhone.
Settings - Mobile - shows each app usage at the bottom.
