Texting from iPad with Cellular feature

Just got an iPad PRO with SIM and can't see how to send/receive texts to non-Apple devices.  Any thoughts?

The cellular version of the ipad (i have an ipad pro inc 100sms that i can't use other than to iPhones) is for Internet access when you're out and about and have no WiFi which in this day and age is near impossible, there's WiFi everywhere and you can set your phone up as a hotshot as I do, ipads don't have a phone function, anyone that's ever owned or knows anyone with one would know that. That doesn't mean j can't make calls. That's 100s of VOIP apps like messenger etc so you can make calls free. You should have done a bit of research first before upgrading from a phone to an ipad. I picked the ipad with the lowest data,3gb as I've unlimited data on my S20 Ultra that I can set up as a hotspot for the ipad.
