Sim swap

Started sim swap at 7pm last night and my old phone dies. As of9am this morning my new phone is also dead too. O2 customer service just say it can take up to 24 hours but I do not expect to be without any phone at all for up to another 12 hours. This is not good service.

That's how it works I'm afraid. Sometimes it's instant and sometimes it takes 24 hours. There's no logic to it....

I did a sim swap about 7 months ago and it took 20 minutes. Luck of the draw, I suppose. Hopefully the OP is up and running now.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Sim swap is a nightmare, trying to keep my number from an old larger SIM to a new phone with a micro one.... taking far too long!!

Have you rebooted the phone with the new sim in at regular intervals? When did the old sim disconnect?

I think I would be contacting customer service now in case something has gone wrong with the swap.

Yes I've tried rebooting, no luck. The old sim was disconnected pretty much straight away.. Ill get on to customer services, thanks for your advice. slight_smile
