I tried to swap to a micro sim card yesterday afternoon 4pm. My old sim card died later last night. But my new sim card is still not working yet. My number has not been recognized for over 12 hrs. Is this due to the net work problem? Has any body else is experiencing the same problem?

I have full service with 3G this morning after restarting my phone so you guys should have your service back soon I'd think.

My pay monthly contract ended on 12 Oct, last Friday. Called O2 couple of weeks ago, asking to downgrade to pay as go after contract ended, AND KEEP my old number. They sent me new pay as go sim card, saying that my old number will transfer to this new sim card on 12 Oct. But now it is 15 Oct, my old number still not working. All I got is new pay as go number that is useless.
5 calls to customer service since Friday, the only answer from them was keep waiting..
Am I the only unlucky one? Or someone else has similar problem?

I'm in exactly the same boat as you - changing from contract to pay & go. Put the request through on Friday. Yesterday morning my old sim was deactivated, and I just had the new pay & go number (which i don't want). Now both numbers are disconnected, and the guy at o2 told me this morning to wait another 24 hours due to system problems......

Going on 72 hours with no sim swap now. Why the hell are they telling media and newsthat they had problems friday but its fixed now cause its bl##dy well not!! Did a sim swap Friday afternoon around 2pm after being convinced to stay with O2. Old phone went dead friday night, new phone had no signal apart from about an hours worth of signal sunday lunch time then back to no signal. Called saturday (told wait 24 hours), sunday x 2 (wait 24 hours engineers will be working through the night to fix) and this morning around 11am told another 24 hours to be fixed!!! absolutely rubbish wish I had cancelled and switched. I dont care about compensation at the moment I just want a working phone!! To make matters worse im 9 months pregnant due to have my first child any day now and im too scared to leave the house in case anything happens and ill have no way of contacting anyone!!! what a way to run a business....
