Hi everyone,
I've had my iPhone 4 for almost 2 years (November 2011) and am at my wits end at the moment. I use the phone a lot to call my boyfriend (he lives in another city) and so far it's been absolutely fine - perfect signal. About a month ago the connection started to drop on all calls - the bars show almost or totally full and I've noticed the interference on the line is at its worst when I'm in my bedroom (again, no previous issues - I haven't moved house and I live in South East London.. pretty good signal everywhere). This is incredibly frustrating and I'm not sure how I can deal with it.
Would appreciate any advice you guys have - I have no problems with texts, 3g etc. just voice calls. I'm unsure whether it's my iPhone or o2's signal... will my upgrade to an iPhone 5 in a couple of months help? Should I try TU Go or a physical signal booster? (I'm guessing Boostbox isn't available anymore?)
Thanks!
Belinda

Hi,
Check your service status here : http://status.o2.co.uk/
If the report shows the mast is fine you can still report it to 02 if you feel their is something wrong.
Boostboxes are currently only available to business customers.
It could be the iphone but unless you purchased Applecare or 02 insurance, or another form of insurance such as home contents or you bank account provides insurance their probably would be a charge to have it looked at.
To make an appointment with an Apple Genius Bar http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/geniusbar/
Do other people on 02 in your home have such issues.
Try removing your Sim Card and wiping it down to remove static build up.
Another option is to replace your current Sim Card by picking up a blank Sim Card from your local 02 shop, or ask for one to be posted to you.
Then carry out the SwapMySim procedure.
I have included the link to do this.
Take into account it takes from approx 2 hours to 24 hours to fully activate, and by turning your phone off and on throughout this period helps to reset your services.

Thanks for your help.
I'm going to try everything I can do on my own before heading to the Apple store! My phone is out of warranty so don't particularly want to pay for any repairs as I'm almost ready to upgrade.
