Roaming abroad

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

Having trouble with data abroad but not messages and phone calls. Spoke to O2 and they suggested (like other posts) to turn off the EU Internet setting. i have explained to them that there is no setting on the phone. Not sure whether its because the phone was previously on Vodafone and is now unlocked and it is on O2

The phone is Iphone 6 running ios 10.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

It should be idata for a contract phone.

Yep but customers may not be aware now that data works in UK if on wrong bolt on.

God forbid it's set up for Blackberry!

Wouldn't work in UK then either. But that is the default if CS don't set a bolt on when activating the account.

phone works fine in UK

We have recently moved to O2 from Voda and it worked on Voda abroad

I've not had any contact from the user in the past couple of days so hoping that its sorted now

So the phone is on idata, tried the manual roaming and nothing worked

The user could send text messages and make phone calls but could not use any data unless it was in wireless

Any more suggestions? Do we need to opt into data abroad with O2?
