Recon App blocked via mobile data

I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro (IOS16.1.2). My query is re the iPhone App ‘Recon - Find Fetish Men’ a social networking and dating app, and associated website.  I have updated my iPhone to the most recent app version.

 

I’m getting a ‘network error / no connection’ error on attempting to load the app via mobile data. I’ve worked through all guidance i can find re checking settings to remove any age restrictions on my iPhone. My phone seems to be set throughout to ‘Adult’.

 

I note too that I’m unable to open the Recon website on my iPhone via a browser via mobile data. This route I get an error message saying unable to find a secure connection.

 

The Recon app works fine on Wi-Fi, and I have access to the Recon website via the browser using Wifi.

I note that Recon is the only app doing this.

 

I had thought this was just a frustrating thing for all iPhone users, but my husband’s iPhone (also on O2) opens the Recon App via both mobile data and Wi-Fi.

 

I’ve checked with the Recon Help Team, and they assure me this is not an issue from their side. They note that the Recon team is aware that O2 has been know to selectively block the Recon App and website via it’s network, though my Husband is on O2 and has access. The Recon team also wonder if there are 18+ age restriction settings ‘On’ somewhere in my O2 setup… I think I’ve checked all 18+ age restrictions and I believe all are set to ‘Off’, or to ‘Adult’, or ‘Allow full access’.

 

Any guidance or thoughts appreciated.

Thanks. I thought I’d got all the age settings, I’ve now found the last one (Age verification) and have access. Thanks for your time. 👍🏽
