Problem with iMessage (I am not receiving certain messages and when I do, are from unknown numbers)

Hello!

Since I moved to o2 I am having issues with iMessages.

I am not receiving all the messages from certain specific numbers and when I do, even knowing the sender, the message comes from an unknown number. 

For example:

-I send a message to a contact.

Option 1: I do not receive his reply

Option 2: I receive his reply but from a "random number" that is not in my contact list. 

Do you know why this could happen and how to sort it out?

It is very annoying not knowing if someone replied to me or not.

Give O2 a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (Contract) OR 4445 or 0344 809 222 (PAYG)
