Presumably you are keeping your number so you do need to do the sim swap. Alternatively pop into your local o2 store and they will do it all for you.

If so, put the new one in the new phone and leave your old one in old phone whilst you do the sim swap.
The old one will turn off and new one will turn on.
If you didn't get a new sim, pop into an O2 shop and they will sort you out.

I have the new one in newiphone&old one remains in oldSamsung phone
Open the link I gave you at the beginning of the thread and enter your phone number into the box on the form.
You will receive a text with a code to your old phone.
Enter this on the form where it asks for it and just follow the instructions.
Your sim swap will commence and may be done within a few mins or it can take up to 24 hours (rarely).
Keep restarting the new phone once you lose service on the old one.
