I have just got a new Mercedes EQA and have set up all the services, internet in car etc. and connected my car via the Mercedes me app.
Using over Wi-Fi I can access all the features of the app, connect to the car with no issues. However if I only have mobile data 4G or 5G then the app will not connect to the car at all until I’m back on Wi-Fi.
Mobile data is enable in settings for the Mercedes me app.
Tested with putting my daughters EE SIM in my phone and suddenly all works fine over mobile data so my IT incident management background would make me point the finger in the O2 Networks direction.
I'm using an iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Has anyone got any suggestions or having the same issue?

I would reach out to Mercedes Support, as they are the ones who need to fix it an if they are anything like VAG then it will be on a list to be fixed.
The only way to solve it currently is to use a VPN...

This started at the end of February or early March, I have raised a call with Mercedes tech support and O2 and begged them to talk to fix the issue. Was initially fobbed off by O2 but I kept banging on at them that is an O2/Mercedes comparability issue. Nearly cost me dearly in France as I parked up for a week skiing, thank fully I went to the car with two days left to get it charged before the rush for the mountain chargers and found I had a puncture, something the app would have told me if it worked over the O2 data network.
everyone must raise with O2 and Mercedes tech support to generate the volume of interest they need to do something about it.

Same here Mark, just moved from Virgin to O2 and I took advantage of the dual sim on an Iphone 11, phone both work & personal are now O2, only works on Wi-Fi which is annoying because the whole point is to use it with Data while traveling! 😞
On a positive I'm glad it isn't linked to the dual Sim but coincidently just had an apple update so confused to the issue. Fingers crossed resolved soon!
