Iphone 5s delivery update

Ordered a 5s white 16gb on the 23rd September, was given the standard "up to 6/12 weeks" for delivery, spoke to O2 today, and am taking with a pinch of salt, but this changed on the 4th October to up to 2 week delivery. Not sure if that just for me or general orders.

I didn't order till 3rd October - you may well be right but she did seem to go off to check, or at least go make a coffee lol

 

My spec seems the most available so I hold out some small amount of hope they might actually follow through with delivery....

Well that's not gone well! No update to order status on the day they said it'd be in stock to be shipped - had a 'chat' online which was singularly useless.

Then a bit later had an e-mail stating my order is being processed and will be dispatched shortly.

I give it till Wednesday before I completely lose my rag and cancel it

I had the exact same chat today too. Also it seems the delivery times stated in the shop decreased it now says up to 7 days for the 16GB Grey.

Annoyingly I'm not totally convinced either about my order now!!!

Received my text on the 16th October stating phone was in, replied "send" so the phone could be sent out, received my next text stating phone would be with me within 5 days!!!

Now any other time Ive ordered before , I then get a text stating a delivery day and time, it's now the 22nd and still nothing!!!

I've rung 3 times now and got 3 different replies, one being the phones not in stock but should be in tomorrow ???? Wtf???? Lol

Last time I rung which didn't help either, was told, yes your order was generated on the 18th you should receive a text shortly stating your phone is in and that I needed to reply "send" !!!! Lol yep done that on the 16th!!!! That stumped them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway I'm told my phone will defiantly be with me by Friday!!!!! We shall see!!!!!!!

I've never known it like this with O2 before!!!!!! Ordered and upgraded many a time but never with this amount of bother!!!!

Oh and they also seemed to think that a days notice is fine for delivery lol

Grrrr couldn't help myself called again today, not only am I now on my new 4g contract with no phone to use it on since the 16th, They can't confirm whether there is or is not a phone on its way to me!!! Lol, if it wasn't for the fact stock is scarce I'd cancel everything an go somewhere else!!!!

It's not the waiting it's just the level of CS is rubbish!!! Never been like this before, I actually felt a bit sorry for the women I spoke to as she literally had no clue!!!

Rang CS today and their best suggestion was to cancel my order and walk in store to get one as they now have stock of most models - yeah, course they have! Rang my local branch (Central London) and sure enough they're only just getting pre-orders fulfilled and have had no 'spare' stock and aren't expecting any in the next 2 weeks!

Seems like an exercise in keeping customers/mugs running about as if they're getting somewhere when in fact they have no concept of stock fulfilment timescales aside from 'give it a couple more weeks'!

Hi Adrian_E, I ordered the exact same phone on the same day as you (03/10)!! I called CS on 202 today and they said it would be a 1 - 2 week wait still. Half hour after that call I got an email to say the delivery would be taking place tomorrow. I have now received the text, tracking number and it is being delivered tomorrow between 10 & 2.

 

It seemed a bit coincedental to me that I called up to request an 'update' on my order ( I went through to the upgrade option and track an order already placed) and not long after the call I get confirmation.

 

Hope you get your delivery details soon.

That's handy to know - thanks! Guess I could still be a way down the order given I ordered on the evening of the 3rd but gives some hope. Seems like those actually fulfilling orders are entirely removed in all senses from CS, but maybe it prompts them to fiddle with order status

I thought my last email from them on Monday may have been prompted by my O2 chat session that day - who knows?!

I think like what most on here have said the Chat Session people have no idea about these things. I would suggest calling them on 202, the lady I spoke to was very nice and said they had been to today it is around another 1 - 2 week wait. I just said that as it has been 3 weeks since I place my order I just wanted to know if they had an update on the order as I was told it would be 3 - 5 week delivery time. I guess they must of just liked me being nice on the phone :wink:

Ok so I rang again tonight, as not much counting on these text updates, and as said even CS didn't really seem to know what was going on this time round, they just didn't seem to have any confidence in the information they were giving! Not like years go past!

Anyway checked tonight and nice CS lady confirmed it was out for delivery and gave me tracking number and it's coming tomorrow !! I didn't push her on why they couldn't confirm this yesterday or day before just pleased phone is coming :slight_smile:

And to note still up till this point have not received any further update or delivery text or email from O2 ??
