Just bought a IPAD Pro 10.5 on a monthly contract which inlcludes 100 sms texts.

New to apple and Ipads, how do I use the SMS facility

That's O2's sense of humour I'm afraid.

Unless you place the sim in a phone, you can't use them.

That would be pretty difficult seeing as I need the Sim in the Ipad for Data

In all seriousness though, all data sims come with 100 texts, which can be used in some tablets, but not the ipad.
I have one in a MiFi device which I can't text from either.
