Help for those seeking their iPhone 5 Delivery

Following on from the extensive iPhone 5 pre-orders thread which contains very useful information regarding other community members experiences (and lies) regarding their iPhone 5 delivery I and others thought it time we had a factual thread containing just the relevant information to help people, like me, still waiting for their new device!

So please post just the basic factual information:

1/ The date the phone was ordered.

2/ The method of ordering - By Phone to Customer Services/Upgrades/Business/Retentions or Online or in person in an O2 Shop

3/ Model of phone - Colour and Size.

4/ Current Status - Awaiting Allocation, In progress, Despatched, Delivered!

Please post the information regardless of when those lucky people who already have their phones actually received them and those of us who are STILL waiting can repost with any updates they have following chats with Guru's CS and others (but please keep it brief). Once you have posted that you have received your phone please do not repost the same information. Hopefuly this will keep the thread brief and factual and become a good resource for others over the next few weeks as clearly ringing O2 achieves nothing!

2/ Via Business Retentions over the phone

4/Awaiting Allocation - STILL after 4 weeks and 4 days!

Apparently I am the only person who still has not received any dispatch or delivery confirmation! As stated previously I ordered 2 x black 16GB through O2 business on 17th September so I would like to think I would be one of the first to get confirmation. To all you people that have received your delivery confirmation, are any of you using O2 business?

I don't think you are alone but certainly the phones are being answered quicker so there has to be less of a backlog - Saying that though I received my text yesterday morning to say my phone was available for delivery but I haven't received any follow up text with tracking details. Rang them this morning to be told it's still waiting to be sent! Needless to say I politely requested that having waited 5 weeks now the least they could do was send it straight away and not sit on it for another day or two!!!!! Arrgghhh!

I just got the 'Sorry you haven't got your phone order yet. We're expecting them to come in soon' text from O2 for the fourth time! Has anyone ordered the Iphone 5 through O2 business and received the handset or a delivery date?

You would think that O2 would have set a bigger allocation aside for their business customers. I know it's a seperate department but they know from past experience what the demand would be like.

Today's update................!

1/ Ordered 21st September 7.10am

4/ 26/10 Assured by phone that Courier Company collecting today for delivery Monday

Now why they couldn't depatch it two days ago following the text they sent to confirm they had the phone in stock I will never know! Or even yesterday............but no another weekend will pass as I quickly loose interest

I got mines yesterday, hence not been on the forums too busy playing with my new shiny phone I love it! think it might have been worth the wait, worst thing was bein at work when it was delivered, slowest three hrs ever! Hope everyone's got theirs now?

I ordered mine on the 22nd of Sep 2012 16GB Black with O2 business as an upgrade.

I've received 4 texts from O2 stating they they are expecting the order to arrive soon, however I know they are busy fulfilling the orders for new contract with the stock they receive.

really not impressed with them after being with them since 2010.
