Would the OP need to select the network manually? Just saying in case it tries to connect to other networks...

Always, whenever in EU a manual network selection is imperative to avoid accidental non EU roaming.

Unlless it's me with my phone in Spain. It has been there so often it just connects to Movistar naturally now wink

When near bordering countries, on boats etc then it's always advisable to manually select. However in Gran Canaria there's no danger of that buy of its not picking up a network then a reboot and manual selection could well solve the problem.
