02 travel bolt on

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi I signed up to the 02 travel bolt on expecting my phone to work when in Spain and on a recent trip to Norway. When in Norway my phone would not show as receiving a signal, yet my wifes phone received signal yet she is not signed up for the bolt on. Roaming is off on our phones. I intend using my phone come december when in Gran Canaria and hope that it will work then. Has anyone had this issue or any advice on situation. Thanks for reading.

Hi @Anonymous You don't need O2 travel for Spain. Since June you can use your allowances as if you were in the UK...Check out these links https://www.o2.co.uk/help/pay-monthly/using-your-phone-abroad

A community guide here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Roaming-Changes-from-15th-June-2017-CONTRACT-ONLY-quot/m-p/1053586

Edited to add...if you want to use the internet and have no WiFi then data roaming has to be on...

You need to manually select a Spanish network too to avoid accidental roaming onto a non free network.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
