Upgrade Google Pixel 2 XL

Not applicable

While searching upgrade options, I could not find a Google Pixel 2 XL on O2 website, but Carphone Warehouse website has an O2 contract as one of the options for the model. Can I upgrade to this model without cancelling my contract and getting a new one through Carphone Warehouse?

Yes you can. Just make sure they upgrade you and they don't just give you a new contract.

Just two things to consider when buying from CPW

Refresh isn't available so you will be locked in for 24 months

The phone won't have O2 firmware so will never have the option of O2 wifi.

On the plus side it will be unlocked so you can use any other sim card.

CPW upgrades are always more expensive than new contracts (incentive to take new as they get more commission), so you can take new and then call o2 on 202 to transfer your number but you'll have 2 contracts running for the first month.

The OP will have to work out if the saving is more than the double payment and the extra work.
