GPRS on IPhone 5c

Anonymous
Not applicable
I keep getting GPRS on my phone instead of 3G or 4G, whichever one it's meant to be. Brand new phone, received it less than a week ago but this is the only fault so far.
Spoken to 2 guys from O2, both gave me different things to do, one telling me to update my phone on ITunes (done that) and the other telling me to make sure my details are all correct on my phone in the network section (all correct!). Now I'm still getting GPRS and don't know what to do now. Anyone have any ideas on what to do now? I've also tried restarting the phone and switching it on to airplane mode and back on again before then being taken back the GPRS. Only time I get wifi is at home and that's not for very long. Also need it for job and emails so getting quite frustrated! Please help! slight_smile Thank you in advance.

Are you on a 4G tariff? Are your data settings correct? Have you checked to see what the signal is like in your area? http://status.o2.co.uk/

Common issue on the 5s & 5c http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Apple-iOS-Devices-iPhone-iPad/Iphone-5s-keep-connecting-to-GPRS/td-p/56...
Looks like faulty phones as it's reported on other networks too (still persists after a change of handset so must be a design issue).
You might be better off having an Android phone or an older iPhone without the issue.
