Hi all,
I have a 4S. Call forwarding has never been a problem before but two times out of the last three I have been unable to cancel a divert that I'd set up. This has caused some real problems for my work and is very frustrating.
The online advice suggests calling ##002# to cancel all diverts but this just doesn't work and all I get is a list of "setting erasure failed" messages. The problem sorted itself out after about six hours last time but even this was annoying.
Any ideas anybody?

That could well be the case if memory serves but I'm not totally 100%.
I've never had problems until the last few weeks though, so it's definitely a recent thing.
Thanks for your assistance by the way.

None of these codes that I have become aware of since my call forwarding problem appear to do anything at all on my phone!
Whenever I try and use one I just get a long list of "failed" messages.

I think you are at a stage now where you need to back everything up to itunes and do a set up as new to see if that clears the problem for you. You can always restore from the back up afterwards. I'm sure it's phone related not network.

Tried the reset and then the *#21# again but still just came up with the "system interrogation failed" messages again.
Yeah, my phone is currently forwarded to my boss, who will no doubt be unchuffed if there are calls during the night.

Understandable.

This is the only codes I could find on the cancellation of call forwarding.
However I don't know the legitimacy of this site

Mentioned using 62 as an alternative to 21:/

Have tried to type a different number in the "Forward to" area but it doesn't change anything.
Also, the actual number that the phone is diverted to doesn't appear in the box either, as it normally does. However, the divert is still operational to the original number.

I've tried using the number 62 instead of 21 and it did actually state that various changes had been made "successfully". However, it still hasn't changed the original divert in any way.

I am in the process of updating my iTunes as well, so that I can do the whole back-up and restore as new thing. However, more annoyingly than ever, my downloading of the latest iTunes update is now not going smoothly. Probably because my laptop is a hundred years old!
