How do you get balance notifications turned off? (after a text and call)

Call 4445 and ask CS to turn them off.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

You could try live chat but I'm not sure they can actually turn them off for you.

The "ability" to do something is completely different t having the "competency" to complete it Cheers
