wifi calling on s8

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have very bad O2 reception in my home. I recently upgraded my phone to an S8. I bought the phone from Amazon rather than on a contract from O2 so it doesn't have O2 firmware installed. What I didn't realise is that wifi calling would be unavailable on an unlocked phone.

Is there a way around this problem or am I going to need to change networks to get acceptable signal at home?

You'll have to get an O2 phone or use a different network unfortunately.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

The big problem is we were given very little time to absorb the whole uthing about wifi calling. Even bigger is the huge limitations on it and with the demise of TU customers have been left high and dry.
