Do SMS messages also get delivered on WiFi?

No they don't.

3 years on and O2 are still trying to figure out how to do it.

You will need to call customer service to enable it on your account first.

Please call to check.

What it says in your MyO2 means nothing if it's not active on your account.

Hmm. So I phoned O2. They said WiFi calling was enabled. I asked them o remove it and add it back on which they did (I got texts through and could see on my O2 that it went off and came back on again). I reset my network settings. I then rebooted phone. And yet I still have no WiFi calling settings to switch on or off..!
I have the latest 10.1 android update on a Hauwei P30. I got it through csrphone warehouse on an o2 contract. Would this make a difference? Really could do with the feature as my mobile signal is lousy at home.

All right folks. Quick update from me. As of today I have upgraded to O2 Refresh with Huawei P30 Pro New Edition (C341).

No VoLTE (4G Calling) and WiFi Calling available. On my account is all good to go.
After many customer service contact I know that they "are aware of this issue with P30 Pro" and.... Yeh... Nothing.

I doubt they doing anything in this matter.
From my point of view there is no hope in sight.

Maybe some O2 rep here? Will be good to start working on this issue.

One small bug I had with WiFi calling not working on my Note 10+ 5G was me having a £0 spend cap. Once upped to a fiver it started working. Strange but true.
