when had phone plug usb in into computer and away we go now all of a sudden it wont conect click on usb mass storage in utilities but nothing happens tried downloading new drivers but nothing downloaded kies but still nothing i plug usb into charger and it charges fine so cable is good phone normally shows up on my computer as extra drive but nothing no ping to say its connected any ideas maybe something stupid hopeing not to do another factory reset ?????

Have you recently updated software on your computer?

Yesterday I connected my i9505 S4 to my laptop and I had to reinstall the device drivers following a series of Microsoft updates that I downloaded on Sunday.

Please let us know how you get on.

no recent updates i had the attena changed on my phone on monday which includes a new usb point butthe charger works fine ...

Have you a differnt micro USB lead to try it with/

My Note 2 sometimes fails to connect with the Samsung supplied lead but connects every time with HTC or Nokia cables. I guess they're more prone to wear.

Last time I had the problem it was the USB lead even though it charged ok. Try a different lead.

so far ive tried three diffrent leads all charge but not connect me to computer

Did they Flash your device software when you had your repairs done?

I think you will need to install drivers on your pc

Sounds as though when they replaced the port they only connected the charging pins.

Back for repair I think on this one unless anyone else has any ideas.

Certainly points to a phone problem if leads and PC are ok.

Have you tried plugging it into a different USB port on your PC? If its a PC, use the ports in the back of it.
