when had phone plug usb in into computer and away we go now all of a sudden it wont conect click on usb mass storage in utilities but nothing happens tried downloading new drivers but nothing downloaded kies but still nothing i plug usb into charger and it charges fine so cable is good phone normally shows up on my computer as extra drive but nothing no ping to say its connected any ideas maybe something stupid hopeing not to do another factory reset ?????

Impossible to connect only charging pins as all on same ribbon. I'd go with trying different USB ports and if on win8 do a restart not a shutdown.
