Hi
When browsing internet a warning came up for tapsnake virus.. I have googled this and it says it's an app and to remove it but I can't find it.. I have ran 2 anti virus programs and it has bought up nothing.. should I be worried??

good choice, best not to download if you don't know what it is..

you should be ok I think, let us know if the warning pops up again

Usually this is just to get you panicking to download other programmes which can make a complete mess of your device.

As I was reading through the thread I came to the same conclusions as perksie & jonsie.
I think it is potentially an airpush ad which seems to be discretely package so as not to appear as such.
When the warning pops up they hope you panic and then download the "fix" which is the actual virus.
There is an airpush optout app on Play somewhere which you could install to see if it helps....?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

If you read my posts, you will see tha I have posted the link for the air push app, the OP downloaded it and said nothing was found..

That's airpush detector, which is why I said it may be airpush but discretely repackaged so the app can't find it, my reference is to the airpush optout app, which is supposed to remove your IMEI number from the airpush database wink
