Android.Tapsnake is a Trojan horse for Android phones that is embedded into a game. It tracks the phone's location and posts it to a remote web service.

So, the app hasn't detected anything. Do you have any games installed on your phone?

Yes but nothing new.. the latest game downloaded was about 6 weeks ago??
I've always had 'lookout' anti virus protection which is the recommended one to detect this tapsnake or so I've been reading online?? Plus another anti virus program..

I'm guessing if the airpush app has not detected anything, you should be ok

@MI5 can you assist the OP futher please

Have you only looked for the tapsnake logo on your home screen or have you looked for it thru the main menu in the apps section?

I am looking online for you but can't seem to find anything. When you browse the internet, does the warning pop up each time?

No just on this one occasion and it directed me to a webpage to download something to get rid of it.. I closed it down as I wasn't sure if it was a scam and googled it.. and it since hasn't come back up??
