I have just been biled by 02 for allegedly making a phone call to tel no 08712770709. for at least 2 hours 53 minutes and was charged £35.00. From what I remember I never made a phone call to this number. Is there somebody who has had a similar experience? I have just looked in google and it appears some people have had this problem. Please if anybody in the community has had this problem do share with me because I suspect there is a con.

Brilliant to have a technically dright chap on the forum.
Unfortunately I am now and old guard having retired from the International Telecommunication Union (the UN organ for Telecommunications) for over 20 years after working in 39 different countriesand but I am still open to technically brightb ideas coming from people, So please bring it on what ever exceptionally technically bright ideas you have to help me solve the mistery. I also understand from one of the responses that the maximumcommunication fronm Edreams would be 19 mins. So where does the dossier of 2 hrs 53 mins come from?

I am not sure he is still online sadly...
As one of the 'old guard' myself (though my speciality was nursing) I couldn't even offer any reply to your query
I am content to learn from all the other 'bright sparks' on here

I have no idea, you're the only one who has access to your phones call list to verify you did not call that number.
Have you checked yet?
BTW I'm Kang, my brother's Kodos.

I see you are now a Resolver @viridis You appear to have 'resolved' this. (Well as much as you are able... without having access to the OP's call logs)

Can I ask, do you have this number in your phone as a contact?

Probably something like that @jonsie the op started two threads last night about the same thing and another thread this morning Much advice has already been given but I doubt we can resolve this to their satisfaction
