sim card thinks it's in an iphone

hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. I put my new sim card into an iPhone first. It is now in a Samsung phone but I think the sim card thinks it's still in an iPhone. The phone is working but it won't receive messages from another iPhone. Can anyone advise on what to do please?
