Suddenly my mobile has stopped connecting to my email account and it won't reset to connect. Keeps sayng unable to connect to server. I am with Sky for my email account which comes via Yahoo. Is anyone having the same problem? Can you advise me what to do? Not just my phone as others are reporting the same problem. Seems to have started in the evening on 25th July? The how to guides don't seem to cover this help either!

Apparently this works

Change your sky server settings to :
incoming server = android.imap.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing Server = android.smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Or you can set up Sky email through the Gmail app.

Quite possibly a Sky problem with their servers. Have you checked their forum for issues?

I would agree with  jonsie.
Speak to Sky as it sounds like their problem.

There are mail problems for yahoo customers and therefore some sky customers will be affected too as their email is yahoo based.

Good morning @Anonymous, welcome to our community! slight_smile

How are you getting on with your email - did you try the suggested fix mentioned above?

No M15 I will have to contact BT if I don't get this sorted. Just that it has happened before and my emails all suddenly appeared after a couple of days. I didn't delete the account then, but again a message with "UNABLE TO CONNECT TO SERVER" . This problem has been since the Samsung update overnight where the email icon has slightly changed.

Most likely just a setting issue.
Check the ports settings against the ones BT recommend.
