I have just changed from a Nokia 625. to this galaxy .

The only thing I can seem to find is if I can get adifferent Ring(tone)s for different people like I could with the nokia i.e.the Wife.

Yes, go into each contact individually and assign whatever ringtone you want.

Editing Contacts /Pictures and or ringtones.

 

Hi thanks for the advice ,

 

I can not do anything at the Edit screen only alter, Name, Number, and e. mail. no other options.

 

or More Delete ,Share contact, Add shortcut on home screen.

 

If I hold down the Picture Icon it just puts a little box with a green tic in it . but gives me no options.

 

any ideas , have tried o2  chat no good.

Hi , have been on to Samsung , had to import all my contacts on to the device.

I now have two of all the numbers, one on the sim and one on the device, but can edit the one on the device  pics and ringtones.

Shows you have to speak to the engine driver no good speaking to the .........

Pointless having two contact lists. Why not delete from the card. I think we all assumed they were saved to the phone already.

Yes, I certainly assumed they were on phone - no point in saving to sim card at all these days.
No backup of contacts and limited functionality, not to mention restricted fields and the amount of data that can be stored.
