galaxy note 4 lollipop update heart rate sensor

Anonymous
Not applicable

Just had my note 4 download the o2 lollipop release last night.

When I place the phone onto any surface the heart rate sensor on the back will light up solid red.

Anybody come across this as well.

BTU means you are generic unbranded so you are waiting for Samsung to release Lollipop.

OK, thank you for your reply.
As far as I could tell from release info, Samsung has already released the update and it was the carriers who were still left as they were having to tweak it?!
So either way shouldn't I have it?

No, Samsung haven't released it yet (for Note 4).
O2 have for their devices though so that's why you are seeing people on here with it already.

Mmmmm, strange that carriers will release it before the actual phone maker?
Can you point me in the direction as to where I can find out when it will be released, if possible.
Thank you very much for your help.

Samsung will release it when they are happy with it - you won't find an exact date anywhere though but I was expecting it last week, so it won't be long now.

Quick update guys, just incase anyone else has the problem with the heart rate sensor.  Seems to be a problem with Google fit rather than the phone itself.

Rather than a full reset uninstall google fit and reboot the phone, when i started reinstalling all my apps i noticed Google fit wouldn't reinstall and the play store says it isn't compatible with my device.  Friend was in the same boat and once he unistalled fit and did a reboot the problem resolved without a full reset.

Further googling shows it's a known bug with fit itself rather than the actual phone firmware.  Save somebody going through a full reset.
