Hi,

Finally got kies to work and backed up phone.

Tried to download Odin 3.07 but not the offical site and much adware.

Then downloaded Odin 3.09 from offical site and the gingerbread firmware for the phone.

Followed the instructions for Odin 3.09 and all seemed to go well until during firmware transfer to the phone and error message came up advising missing driver. I accepted this and let it run.

Then on top left corner of odin was message reset1 and finally a pass. After disonnecting phone the phone only display Samsung galaxy ace 2. I can power it off momentatrily but the same screen appears. Is this terminal?

Thanks,

Peter C.

Try booting to recovery mode and doing a factory reset if that fails refresh firmware again.

Why can't you boot into recovery?
How are you trying and what happens?

Hi,

I have tried the following by first removing battery for 10 seconds, then reinstalling and pressing volume up hold and power buttons together  It switches on with just the Samsung front screen. If I continue to hold it powers off and then back on again to the same screen. I have also tried connecting via Odin 3.09 but there is no connection.

Thanks for your help Peterfc

Press in order and hold them all as you go.
Vol up, then home, then power.
