Wifi Calling Still Not Working

Hi All,

So where to begin ????

Ok so I upgraded in store to a Galaxy S9 Plus nearly 2 weeks ago as I cannot get a mobile signal in my office I thought that going down the wifi-calling route is the way forward big mistake as it has never worked.

symptoms

It is showing as turned on at O2's end and on the handset but when I attempt to make a call it connects now is when the funny things happen, I can hear the other person but they cannot hear me and then between 8 and 11 seconds the phone disconnects.

Wifi- calling Icon is intermittently showing on the screen ,should it be showing constantly ?

O2 suggested changing the Sim card which I did but that made no difference so they sent me back to the shop and changed the phone as well but the issue still persists.

At the moment they have asked me to wait 24 hrs from 18:00 last night as they have reset my wifi-calling yet again (turned it off and back on again)

I have two O2 accounts if I put my other Sim in the phone wifi calling works perfect which leads me to think there is something wrong with the account configuration maybe ??

Had just about enough of repeating myself on the phone trying to get a resolution to the issue to be honest as I keep getting past pillar to post but am getting nowhere.

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Well that was quick, network services have called me and are going to turn my account off completely and then reset it up again 4 hours from now to see if that resolves the issue.

Lets hope so fingers_crossed

Definitely sounds like an account issue so unfortunately you'll have to persist with customer service until they get it set up correctly for you.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

UPDATE

So spoke to level 2 Guru on web chat and now waiting for engineers to call me which can take 5 days, what a waste of time its been 10 days already so they have extended my cooling off period.

In the event they cannot resolve the issue it looks like I will be cancelling both my contracts and moving operator after 6 years of O2 it has been a good network but as soon as you have an issue it takes for ever to resolve it if at all.disappointed_relieved
