Hi

I have a Galaxy S4 which is fine but the battery life is now poor. It has a Micro sim. I am thinking about buying a Samsung J6 off Amazon which has a Nano sim. I have asked o2 to send me out a new nano sim which they are doing.

What do I do when I get the new sim? Is there any online guidance about swopping the sim and transferring the information fro one phone to the other?

Thank you

Hi @Hugh

Yes you will need to do a sim swap. Info here https://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/

Best of luck and enjoy the new phone

Hi @Hugh

Are they sending the correct sim for your account as monthly and PAYG sims are different?

Help on backing up and transferring data here too https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Backing-up-your-phone/bc-p/1114212

@Hugh If you have a problem with the sim swap, call into your local O2 store, if you have one nearby, and they'll do the swap for you. The swap can take up to 24 hours, but it's normally much quicker.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Thanks for that.

The specification for the J6 refers to a dual sim. Is that a problem when putting in the new nano sim?

Thanks

No problem at all. Just use SIM slot 1 if only using one SIM card.
