Samsung s8 Wifi calling

Hi, 

 

What is the expected ETA on the next Samsung S8 firmware update, which will allow wifi calling please, rather than having to use the TUGO app? Loosing this feature, from the s7 curve, is a real step backwards. I know the compatibillity sections states the S8 isnt currently supported, however, there must a planned release date right?

Hey everyone.

Thanks for your interest in Wifi & 4G Calling on the Samsung S8. We continue to work closely with Samsung on implementing this feature into the S8 but don’t currently have any ETA we’re able to share. Once we have launch date, we’ll let you know.

How long we have to wait for above services to be available for Galaxy S8 it's a bit of a disappointment that S7 is already added for ages and newer device is still not supported.

We aren't o2 so have no idea unless we get an answer from Chris.

I have made a point about wifi calling on the Galaxy S8/S8+ for the past two months and o2 seems to be crawling and not jumping onto hypersonic speed to enable such function. Even their latest firmware for the s8/s8+ is more than two months old. Come on o2! You can do better!
