Samsung Galaxy S4 mini - stuck in a shutdown/restart loop

Anonymous
Not applicable

I've had my S4 mini for about 2 years but this morning it has started getting stuck in a shutdown/restart loop but only when the wifi or mobile data is switched on. If they are off it still works as a normal phone with no problems.

I suspect an app is trying to download an update and that is causing the problem, but I've got no idea how to check or how to stop it from happening. Any suggestions?

By going into recovery menu.
Details earlier in the thread.
Or from Settings Menu
Settings >Backup and reset but I prefer to use recovery mode.

Good news mate - I guess it was the boot sector that got corrupted somehow 😞
