Dear Guru(s),

Could you please advise me on the following,

I have recently upgraded my pay monthly mobile to Samsung Galaxy S4 , If I use too much Wi-Fi or Mobile Network, device getting over heat within couple of minutes.

Mine gets very hot around the top speaker where your ear rests. So hot that I cannot hold it against my head. I’ve shown this to several people when it happens and everyone agrees it cannot be normal for a phone to get this hot.

Really scared, as recent stories horrigying me. Please advise me the solution. Its wellknown problem for all S4 users.

Depending on how long you've had it I'd be tempted to send it back and demand a replacement (not a repair). The phone will get hot from use: The harder the processor is working etc will cause the phone to get warm. I would be worried though that if it is getting so hot it can't be handled it is going to risk damaging other components inside which will inevitably lead to a faulty phone.

Handsets will get 'warm' from being used and from heat transferred from your hand or face, but not to the degree that its too hot to hold.

If your worried then seek assistance from the manufacturer.

I am having exactly the same problem. I sent twice to o2 repair center. They are just returning by saying that "No Fault" Found. O2 customer care suggesting to send the device to Samsung. The phone is just 2 months old. poor customer service. I dont know what to do. The galaxy s4 is getting too hot when using mobile data. May I know what happend in your case?

I would always suggest seeking redress through the manufacturer themselves.

Better outcome typically.
