I am very tempted to invest in the Samsung Galaxy Gear S smartwatch. My main reason for this is really for when i go out on call. I will not have to worry about losing my phone as that can be left at home as i will be wearing my smartwatch which can have calls to me forwarded to my smart watch as would text messages etc.
What i would like to know is this, does it have a stopwatch/timer facility. This is important for me as if i need to perform CPR whilst on call i can monitor my compressions against the time on the clock.
It just seems to me a wonderful addition to my call out bag/items that i have on standby should the need arise.

Before you go and invest in it, you might want to read some reviews, a few of which, like this one are not so glowing:

I bought one for a family member at Christmas. He loves it but needs to charge it every night...
That doesn't diminish his joy at having one though...:smileywink:

@MI5 My concern, after reading some of the reviews, is that the OP would not be able to use the watch the way he's thinking that he can. Many of the reviews say that the watch is still heavily dependent on the proximity to a compatible phone. The OP wants to be able to leave his phone at home. Is it possible to do that with this phone and have the functionality the OP would need?
