Samsung Galaxy Gear S

Anonymous
Not applicable

I am very tempted to invest in the Samsung Galaxy Gear S smartwatch. My main reason for this is really for when i go out on call. I will not have to worry about losing my phone as that can be left at home as i will be wearing my smartwatch which can have calls to me forwarded to my smart watch as would text messages etc.

What i would like to know is this, does it have a stopwatch/timer facility. This is important for me as if i need to perform CPR whilst on call i can monitor my compressions against the time on the clock.

It just seems to me a wonderful addition to my call out bag/items that i have on standby should the need arise. slight_smile

Actually "he" is a she!!!! wink  I have read up and watched YT videos of the Galaxy Gear S and one of the attractions is that one is able to leave the phone at home. This is ideal for when i am on a callout. grin

Yes I noticed that on one of the YouTube videos about leaving the phone at home accidently or not !

If it ticks your wants and needs boxes then go for it and enjoy. 😄

Well i bought one!  Crazy Bouncy I am trying to get it all set up now, i cant seem to find GPS, Facebook, Twitter apps for it. Anyone know where i get those. Also i am having problems with the sim card. I think i was incorrectly given a microsim card instead of a nano one. Am i right in saying the Gear S accepts nano sim cards and not the Micro sim card?

So far i have managed to pair up the Gear S via bluetooth with my S5 and downloaded the basic essential apps.

I stood in awe of my 16year old relative ...who within a couple of hours of getting his on Christmas day...along with his Samsung tab....had them all synced to his S4...all up andrunning. My husband asked him if he needed the instructions. His comment..."I don't read instructions' .....Clever little b****** Evil wink
