my Experia SP stopped recognising the SD card about a month after I first used it so I bought a new one. The phone recognised the new SD card for about two weeks but then again stopped recognising it. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have a solution to the problem?

Tjhanks for your help; i've tried this but once i have created the new folder and named it the only options i get when right clicking the new folder are:
- Expand
- New
- Find
- Delete
- Rename
- Export
- Permissions
- Copy key name
Any idea where i went wrong?

Hi,
I've not read the forum articles but if other Sony forum users are reporting the same issue then perhaps a fault with the device..? To have one card pop is bad luck, another is quite suspicious in my book (esp. if a good brand like Kingy).
I have to wonder if the indexing/formatting part of the card is being corrupt and not easily fixable via phone or Windows so it's assumed the card has died. I've heard there's an HP disk formatting tool on t'internet which can rescue owners from such problems (but of course doesn't help with your loss of photographs and other valuable data. I typically use MyPhoneExplorer to grab a full backup of everything once a month (internal and plug-in storage).
Jonty.
