SD card problem with Experia XP

Anonymous
Not applicable

my Experia SP stopped recognising the SD card about a month after I first used it so I bought a new one. The phone recognised the new SD card for about two weeks but then again stopped recognising it. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have a solution to the problem?

I've found that i had to open "New" to select "D Word Value (32bit), but having created "Write Protect" with a value of Zero, when i tried to format the micro SD card it still tells me that it's write protected

Hi,

As MI5 suggests, I think the card is no more.  Likely the 'write protect' hurdle isn't because it's write protected but 'fried'  slight_frown

Jonty.

Thanks Jonty,

I now need to get O2 to accept that the phone is frying my SD cards - xon't think this will be easy because if they try a new card it will work - for a week or two

You may have more luck if you contact Sony directly rather than wasting your time with O2's repairers.....
