S6 Edge and useless Customer services

So I pre ordered an S6 Edge as advised by my local store because they apparently "Wouldn't be stocking them to buy on the day" which I immediately found daft but there you go.

When pre-ordering I was given a date of the 25th of March for pick up which again, found daft as the launch date is the 10th of April. Called 202 to be told it would be in store for the 10th of april to pick up. As I can't change my delivery address I chose store pick up. 

Called the store on tuesday to be told they hadn't had an update (really? A few days before a probably quite large delivery you have no information?) and that it's "likely" to be in store on the 10th and that I would recieve a text but would "Probably be in store the day before". 

Heard nothing today so called 202 again to be told that it will be dispatched tomorrow for pick up on monday?! What on earth is o2 doing? You're telling me you have NO way of tracking an order or any information to give your stores and customer services other than "Probably" and "likely"? Why are items being dispatched on their launch date? Isn't that the point of a launch date, to be launched on that day?

 

Does ANYONE have an answer as to when on earth I can pick this up other than "You'll recieve a text" which is just entirely last minute when you're having to arrange someone to pick an item up as the website will not allow you to change your delivery address to your own work?!

 

Rant over. Sorry. Just really really frustrated with this.

Why did you not just get it delivered to your home or work adress?

You would have a lot less stress if you done that...

Am out of my house 12 hours a day so no one there to accept it, and didn't fancy it sat in some depot somewhere. And the website wouldn't allow me to change the address to my work address so had to settle for store pick up 😞

Ohhh my, what a palava..! As we're just customers like u we can offer advice on general matters.

I've not had any personal experience in picking up a phone from o2i wouldn't like to speculate.

I'd be surprised though if o2 left themselves out of the launch date by not having the preorders in.

Can u call the store tomorrow and see if they're giving out any better info?

Have called the site twice, spoken to customer services twice, and the online chat twice and keep getting conflicting dates which is so frustrating when some people have had their delivery texts already. 

 

Urgh. I'd say I'll go back to one of the other providers but so far out of Vodafone, Orange, EE and O2, O2 (even considering their customer service is getting poorer by the day) are better than EE and Voda...

You have to understand that every business have their processes for these things, i would imagine later on today you will be able to get tracking as it can be sent anywhere up to 10PM this evening. Stay calm slight_smile

Now I thought Samsung had delayed S6 Edge shipments by a couple of weeks. If this is the case then no one will be getting their Edge for a little while

I think it sthe NON edge 64gb that have been pushed back till at least 1st may

Existing pre-orders will start to be dispatched overnight tonight (Thursday) and delivered to customers on 10 April.
that's the latest confirmation that o2 have had for delivery of the S6/S6 Edge

I can only think with so much conflicting news slight_frown it's going to be a wait and see scenario. No doubt the forum will see many posts next week demanding to know where their new phone is?
