S5 grey box on photos?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I got my new S5 on Monday and when I take a photo it looks fine to start, then a grey box appears and covers most of the photo. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yeah, looks like it's a software issue but will be covered by warranty.
As phone is under 14 days old it will be replaced with a new one too wink

Thats good then. Even better that the OP took a photo before the 14days were up...Mind you as its Samsung I expect they would have changed it anyway?

Yes, of course they would have - but O2 can have the pleasure in this instance wink

Is the OP saving to sd card or internal storage, in that thread it is suggested that a fake sd card from amazon was causing the issue as the picture wasn't written correctly due to fake speed and capacity.

So many fake cards around these days even from reputable places it's sometimes difficult to tell..... 😞

Easiest way to tell would be simply removing the card and trying the camera.
