S5 grey box on photos?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I got my new S5 on Monday and when I take a photo it looks fine to start, then a grey box appears and covers most of the photo. Has anyone else had this problem?

Should be boxed.
Your current phone box is unique to your phone due to the imei and serials printed on it.
Sounds refurbished but I may be wrong, each of my swaps were boxed.

Yeah sounds like a refub unit.
Remind me how long you had owned the phone for?

Very likely to be a refurb. Make sure you keep your simcard, micro sd card and check the replacement has a battery.

Or... Accept the refurb but want crediting the difference in value as advertised on o2 shop. They sell them cheaper so why should you pay a higher price with no usage out of the new handset?
I'd accept a refurb As a warranty after a fair few months, but 2 weeks (one week in reality) is no way acceptable imo.

Exactly my feelings too - After 2 weeks it should be a brand new handset - It's your consumer rights.

I received the new phone last Monday. Hhmmm don't know what to do now. Maybe I will ring O2 and ask someone. I asked for a boxed phone but they said I have to send this one back, then re-order a new one? Sounds dodgy to me!! I don't want a refurb. Do you think I could take it to a store to exchange it for a new one?

You'd have to call the store to check - If it's a franchise, probably not unfortunately.
I'd call 202 and speak to CS about it rather than live chat tbh.......

Think I will ring up. Thought it would be easier to do via live chat! So annoyed! Wish I hadn't bothered upgrading now!!
