S3 MINI PLAYSTORE/ GMAIL PROBLEMS

Hi guys,  got my s3 mini today and trying to access playstore to downoad facebook and other items, it asked me to make a gmail account but it would connect through the phone so i done it on my laptop but when im trying to sign in with the account it wont access it on the phone, it just says this may take several minutes but it goes on and on and doesnt find anything,  help please????

Have you tried signing into your gmail account on the phone? Normally you have to set one up when setting the phone up.

just realised where i was going wrong mate, was connected to a wifi device which isnt working anymore, connected to my virgin hub now, lol the simplest things are the ones that cause the most bother lol
