S20 Plus 5G Android 11 Update?

Hi there, I had the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus which was running Android 11 One UI 3.0 before it got damaged and I had to get a replacement from my insurer. I've since received the replacement device but it appears to be stuck on Android 11 One UI 2.5 and will not update. I've tried switching WiFi networks, running it through Smart Switch but no luck.

Any other suggestions as to why it won't update?

Samsung roll out updates by device serial number.

Yours will get it when the serial number matches the update pushed by Samsung.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Perfect thanks! Thought it was related to carrier for some reason but this makes sense. Will keep an eye out for any updates.

Are you on a network customised CSC?

I don't think there is one for O2 currently but as yours is an insurance replacement I guess anything is possible, but shouldn't be.

It's a separate insurer as phone wasn't bought through O2 so could be a possibility. The CSC is OXB which isn't one I recognised. As it turns out, it's linked to Samsung's BTS Edition S20+ which my replacement appears to be.

Not necessarily a BTS edition @CaptainSlow88 (although it could be).

OXB Multi was installed on EU region phones so you're on generic EU firmware, which is fine.

Thanks for confirming, hopefully update shouldn't be too far away.

Unfortunately it turns out it is a BTS edition - comes up with their logo on startup! Oh well!
