Remove Multi-media Messaging enabled

Anonymous
Not applicable
I only got my phone out of carphone warehouse 2 weeks ago and now find I have no multi media messaging, I see in the bolt ons that "remove multi media messaging enabled" is there, why would they do this if I didn't ask for that, I dont mind paying for my mms as I know a few of my friends and family don't have WhatsApp or other services like that. Can anyone help with this?, also this was not explained to me when I got the phone

Hi @Anonymous

Welcome to the forum

You need to get MMS provisioned on your account.

Settings can be sent to the phone by texting ACTIVE to 2020. Simply save and reboot your device.

You also need to have mobile data turned on to get MMS

Then follow this guide (as I presume you have an android phone)

Ring Customer service on 202 and they'll be able to check your account settings and if required Re Provision your account for MMS.

Whilst you are talking to customer services, ask them to enable O2 Travel too if you plan on going abroad as CPW contracts don't usually have that enabled either for some reason.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
