Hi Twinkle,

A software update is usually just a procedure they do anyway as this refreshes the whole operating system.

If they cannot find an issue with the phone wether its hardware or software then they will just return it to you indicating they can find no known issue.

You have omitted to say what the "serious Issues" were.

Your other course of action would be to complete the online complaints form :

http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=Companion,question=ref(User):str(Mobile),CASE=13668

And Or contact Samsung and arrange to have the phone sent to them for inspection.

Their is no way other than to pay out the remaining part of your contract if your wanting out im afraid.

You could sell the phone when its Ok to accumulate some funds to help pay for another phone.

A highstreet shop such as CEX sell phones which most of them are unused upgrades.
