@AnonymousHas the HTC recently had an update? I have been looking on the Android and HTC forums and this seems a common problem after an update.
One suggestion which worked for some was...
"If a device with a red triangle and exclamation point appears, Hold Power while pressing and releasing Volume Up to continue....Follow the instructions up to "Boot to recovery mode," and when you see the red triangle, push and hold the Power button, and tap the Volume Up button once. After this you'll finally get to the menu you seek and can clear the cache"
If this doesn't work then you will need someone on here with a lot more technical expertise than me...Sorry

When you pull the top of the screen down to see the notifications what does it show against the red triangle?
