Possible sim card change from galaxy S2 to galaxy s4 ?

Anonymous

Hi

I'm about to upgrade to a galaxy s4 next week from my s2  and wondered is it just a case putting the old sim card in the new phone and away we go or is it a different size sim card/slot on the s4? If so how do I go about transferring my old number etc to the new sim.

I'm going to call in an 02 shop to do the upgrade is it straight forward or not?

Thanks

If its a different sim then the o2 shop can do it for you with a blank sim card.

Yes its straight forward.

it can take up to 24 hours but is sometimes quicker for your services to settle.

The service will stop on your original sim and then start on your new sim. Typically turning your phone off and on throughout this period helps reset the connection.

or do it at home via the online form.

The S4 is awesome. You will love it I am sure.

The sim is the same size but I would recommend a sim swap to the most up to date ones. O2 shop will do this for you. BandofBrothers is absolutely right above although in my experience it is normally only a matter of minutes between one going off and the other starting.

Just keep turning your new handset on and off occasionally.

Enjoy your new phone and thanks for the question.
