Probably the same thing that happened with the Iphone 4 when it first came out
Apple had to give out free cases
Haven't noticed that on my phone yet

That made me laugh when the press got hold of that one!
With the Xperia it seems to be just holding it normally, with the iPhone you had to block 3 break points or something, it was very difficult to do! But the fact it could be done, people done it and went crazy haha!!

seems to be if you hold the handset towards the bottom end... if i let go it jumps up by 2-3 bars but if a grasp it with my hands it drops to 1 or 0 bars
It sure is!
Re-producable as well.
Lay phone flat on a surface for example...watch the wifi bars....put your fingers either side at the bottom (without lifting so you dont move it) boom...signal drops!

Yesterday my Wife and I both left IPhone and set up with the Sony Z1. I have tried everything on the net to get WiFi and failed. Wish I had stuck to IPhone now. Wife is going crazy without Candy Crush! Phone states 'Authenticating Problem'..
